Your filters should be changed in the Spring and Fall. Also, be mindful of any work being done in your home. If you have been doing any renovations while the furnace has been running your filter may need changed more frequently.
First of all shut down your air conditioner to give the pipe a chance to thaw out. More than likely your unit is not getting enough air flow or it is possibly low on refrigerant. Check your furnace filters and if they are dirty or clogged then change them. Restart your system. If the problem reoccurs then give us a call to schedule service.
Equipment such as furnaces and air conditioners can both be registered on line with the manufacturer and in some cases if they qualify, with the government for their incentive rebates. We are happy to do this registration for you at no charge. If you have the internet available the registration and/or rebate information will be emailed directly to you. If the internet is not available we will print off the information and forward it to you.
SEER is the short form for “Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio”. The higher the SEER value the more efficient the unit. It is calculated by dividing the total cooling of an air conditioner during its normal annual usage period for cooling by the total electrical energy input in watt-hours during the same period.
Extended warranties are available through Integrated Warranty Systems. They can be purchased on existing and new equipment. They cover labour and parts for HVAC equipment under normal wear. The plan does not cover normal gas furnace or air conditioner maintenance like filter changes, cleanings or damage due to external causes.
